چکیده
Abslrad : Some practical methods --r implementing the sliding-mode control law to control the buck-type converters are introduced. The control equations are derived from the basic slidmg-mode control law to accommodate the conventional fiied-frequency pwm control method. As a result, the overall feedback control systems can be expressed under a form similar to state-feedback control where the voltage and current of the output capacitor are sensed and controlled. With the switching frequency is maintained to be constant (not varied over a wide range as in the original law ), these control techniques are insensitive to power circuit parameter changes. The output voltage errors in these implementations are proven to be converged to zero exponentially similarly to the cases implementing the basic sliding-mode control equation. These control implementions can be applied to both constant output voltage regulation ( as in popular dc-dc converters) and to timsvarying output voltage tracking ( as in switching power amplifiers ).

NONLINEAR-CARRIER CONTROL FOR HIGH-POWER-FACTOR RECTIFIERS BASED ON FLYBACK, CUK OR SEPIC CONVERTERS - Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 1996. APEC '96.Conference Proceedings 1996.,
In this paper, nonlinear-carrier (NLC) control is proposed for high-power-factor rectifiers based on flyback, Cuk or Sepic converters operated in the continuous conduction mode. In the NLC controller, the switch duty ratio is determined by comparing a signal proportional to the integral of the switch current with a periodic nonlinear carrier waveform. The shape of the NLC waveform is determined...

متن کاملSLIDING MODE CONTROL BASED ON FRACTIONAL ORDER CALCULUS FOR DC-DC CONVERTERS
The aim of this paper is to design a Fractional Order Sliding Mode Controllers (FOSMC)for a class of DC-DC converters such as boost and buck converters. Firstly, the control lawis designed with respect to the properties of fractional calculus, the design yields an equiv-alent control term with an addition of discontinuous (attractive) control law. Secondly, themathematical proof of the stabilit...
متن کاملImprovement Performances of Active and Reactive Power Control Applied to DFIG for Variable Speed Wind Turbine Using Sliding Mode Control and FOC
This paper deals with the Active and Reactive Power control of double-fed induction generator (DFIG) for variable speed wind turbine. For controlling separately the active and the reactive power generated by a DFIG, field oriented control (FOC) and indirect sliding mode control (ISMC) are presented. These non linear controls are compared on the basis of topology, cost, efficiency. The main cont...
متن کاملSliding Mode Control for Industrial Controllers
This chapter presents sliding mode approach for controlling DC-DC power converters implementing proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers commonly used in industry. The core design idea implies enforcing sliding mode such that the output converter voltage contains proportional, integral and derivative components with the pre-selected coefficients. Traditionally, the method of pulse wid...
